The new FN M240 E6 is a product of the Lightweight Small Arms Technology Program (LSAT) and sheds three and one-half pounds compared to a similar M240 B via the extensive use of titanium alloy in the receiver, all while maintaining the durability and absolute reliability operators have come to expect from the M240 Series. This critical weight savings can translate into greater mobility with less fatigue for the operator or increasing the amount of ammunition carried by the gun crew while maintaining their current overall equipment load. The M240 E6 also features an improved adjustable bipod. All M240s include one spare barrel.
